The total number of those who applied for a place at Aalto University's School of Business on Töölö Campus through bachelor's level admission channels was 3 012. Compared to last year, this figure had dropped by some 8 percent. This was particularly visible as a reduction in the number of international applicants. In the joint admission of the business studies field, 2 921 applicants aspired for a place at the School of Business as their first choice.
Of these applicants, 278 were admitted to study for a Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration) degree. For the first time, study places were offered to the winners of the national Talousguru (Economic Guru) competition. All three persons who received an offer seized the opportunity, and one of them will start their studies this year.
Of the 957 applicants to the School of Business Mikkeli unit, 90 were admitted to the English-language Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration programme. In the master's level admissions earlier this spring, 165 applicants were admitted to the School of Business to study for an MBA degree. The total number of applicants was 496.
