Aalto University School of Economics remains popular

The number of applicants was 3468, out of whom 311 were admitted.

For studying toward a master's degree in economic s and business administration at the Aalto University School of Economics, 3068 first-choice applicants participated in the joint application process for economics and business administration studies. The total number of applicants through the bachelor’s level admissions routes to the School of Economics' Töölö campus was 3468. Nine per cent of the applicants were accepted. Compared to last year the number of applicants rised.

Including all bachelor’s-level admission routes, 311 new students were admitted to the Aalto University School of Economics Helsinki unit in the 2012 joint application process. They were chosen to study toward the BSc and MSc degrees in economics and business administration.

The Aalto University School of Economics Mikkeli unit admitted 80 new students to their English-language BSc studies in business administration. The Mikkeli unit received a total of 920 applications from 49 different countries.

Earlier in the spring, the Aalto University School of Economics selected directly an additional 254 students from among 953 applicants to study for a Master of Science (MSc) in economics and business administration. A total of 1,311 applicants from 70 countries sought direct admission to the master’s degree programmes of the Aalto University School of Economics. The number of applicants increased by 45,5% per cent compared to 2011.
