<p><span>Aalto University School of Business Professor Matti Pohjola was selected as the Teacher of the Year by the </span><span>Association of Economics Students in Helsinki (KY). </span></p>
The nomination was given at the anniversary party of the association.
The selection of the Teacher of the year is based on voting from the KY's members. Altogether 270 students cast their votes, and KY's Academic Committee made the nomination upon the votes and reasons given by the students.
Pohjola teaches economics at the school. The students appraise Pohjola for his expertise and inspirational teaching.
According to students, Pohjola links the themes of his lectures to current topics which is a good teaching method. It literally opens up student's eyes to economic news.
